Application
1,This instrument is used for performance testing of filter elements, disposable masks, filter media, etc. for respiratory protection products, and it is suitable for safety testing of such products, basic filtering performance evaluation, and new product development guidance.
2. The instrument is also applicable to the performance verification of new products, quality control of production departments, third-party testing institutions, product performance verification laboratories, quality and technical supervision departments for the measurement of material properties.
Test Principle
This instrument sprays the pre-produced NaCl solution or DEHS / PAO and similar solutions from the aerosol generator through clean compressed air. After passing through a classifier (inertial principle), the large particles that are not needed are collected into the collection bottle. Aerosol particles that meet the requirements are ejected from the nozzle of the aerosol generator into the test system.
1. The aerosol emitted by the aerosol generator needs to go through two processes before reaching the test filter material;1. Produce aerosol salt particles by mixing with heated gas (in the case of salt spray).2. The electrostatic neutralization of the aerosol was carried by an electrostatic neutralizer, which was used to reduce the particle loss and the influence of electrostatic on the test results.
2. After the aerosol is processed by the above two procedures, it reaches the test filter material surface at a certain flow rate (flow rate) and starts the test procedure. For the filtration efficiency test, the test time is very short.For the loading experiment, the testing experiment is relatively long. The aerosol quantity concentration or mass concentration in the upstream and downstream of the filter material is measured by particle counter or laser scattering photometer, and the filtration efficiency is calculated. Meanwhile, the pressure drop on both sides of the filter material is monitored by pressure difference sensor.
